Alignment Measurement Methodology

This is a method for calculating the degree of alignment between different group distributions by race, ethnicity or other characteristics

It can be used to compare the alignment of organizational staffing or funding portfolio by race and ethnicity to that of grantee communities, customers or  the demographics of poor neighborhoods across the U.S.... or any other comparison of group distributions.

Alignment scores range from 100 (perfect alignment) to 0 (complete misalignment).

As with all performance measures, this measure should be tracked over time, using a baseline, and the organization should work to improve the score.
